STARTING POSITION IN RUNNING EVENTS

     Assalamualaikum and hi everyone, today I'm going to share about types of starting position in running events. As we know, starting block is the basic equipment for the sprint events. Starting block will be measure using all these three types of starting position. These 3 types of starting position are known as bullet, medium, and elongated start. I will explain in details on how to setup and perform those 3 three starting position. 

1. Bullet start 

Bullet start is the front block been placed two steps behind the starting position. The back block is placed one step behind the front block. Next, the feet are closest together, compared with the other starts like a medium and elongated start. The position of the feet is the front foot will be 2 feet from the starting position and the rear foot will be difference around one feet from the front foot.

2. Medium start

Medium start is the front block been placed two steps behind the starting position. The back block is placed two steps behind the front block. Next, the feet is close than elongated start but far apart from bullet start. The position of the feet is the front foot will be 2 feet from the starting position and rear foot will be difference two feet from the front foot. 

3. Elongated start 

Elongated start is the front block been placed two steps behind the starting position. The back block is placed three steps behind the front block. Next, the feet are spread out farther than the bullet and medium start. The position of the feet is the front foot will be 2 feet from the starting position and rear foot will be difference three feet from the front foot.
